As
a
leader,
I
think
being
a
servant
leader
is
one
of
the
most
important
ways
to
perform
one's
role...This
approach
allowed
me
to
improve
my
five
EOS*
-
leadership
skills:
Simplify,
Delegate,
Predict,
Systematize
and
Structure.
*(EOS
=
Development
Oriented
System)
A
servant
leader
is
a
person
who
is
first
and
foremost
an
employee
and
only
secondarily
a
leader.
They
prioritize
the
growth
and
prosperity
of
those
around
them
and
care
about
the
needs
of
others
rather
than
primarily
satisfying
their
own
ambition.
Being
a
servant
leader
is
about
building
community
and
uplifting
your
fellow
man.
Servant
leaders
make
a
conscious
decision
to promote the growth and well-being of the people they lead.
It's
not
about
being
"at
the
top
of
the
pyramid,"
but
about
helping
others
get
to
the
top
as
well
by
developing
their
skills
and
passions.
I
always
strive
to
be
a
servant
leader
because
I
believe
that
a
strong
community
is
worth
more
than
the
sum
of
its
individual
parts.
The
idea
of
servant
leadership
is
a
philosophy
of
life
that
anyone
can
embrace
-
if
they
are
willing
to
accept
people
and
things
as
they
are.
Appropriately,
I
would
like
to
quote
an
African
proverb
that
goes,
"If
you
want
to
go
fast,
go
alone. If you want to go far, go together."
This proverb is so short and yet full of content.
